Kathleen M. Glattly, CPCU, CLU, ChFC, AIM, of Dalton, was recently elected chair woman of the Insurance Agents & Brokers Service Group, a partnership of independent agents’ associations in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Glattly is CEO and president of DGK Insurance. Kathleen has been active in the insurance industry since 1981 and has served the members of Insurance Agents as a board director since 2003.

The Insurance Agents & Brokers Service Group oversees the partnership of agents’ associations in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania that work together to deliver pre-eminent programs, products and services for their nearly 1,600 members. Led by dedicated agent volunteers and staffed by 40 professionals, IA&B is recognized and respected nationally for its industry-leading efforts in agent professional development, advocacy, industry information and knowledge base, communications and more.

Pennsylvania’s School Bus Stopping Law’s

Pennslyvannia’s School Bus Stopping Laws

  • 1.5 million children are transported on Pennsylvania roads each day.

YOU MUST STOP :

  1. When you meet or overtake a stopped school bus with red signal lights flashing and stop arm extended.
  2. When you approach an intersection where a school bus is stopped with red signal lights flashing and stop arm extended.
  3. At least ten (10) feet away from the school bus.
  4. Until the red lights have stopped flashing and the stop arm has been withdrawn before moving.
  5. DO NOT MOVE until all the children have reached a place of safety.

PENALTIES

If you are convicted of violating Pennslyvania’s School Bus Stopping Law, you will receive all of the following penalties:

  • 60-Day Driver’s License Suspension
  • Five (5) points on your driving record
  • $250 Fine

Annually, over 1,000 motorists do not obey the School Bus Stopping Law.

School children are transported more than 346 million miles to school each year, lets keep them safe!!!
